A little halloween party

I love any excuse to get the kiddos together and see them all run around and play! This past weekend a couple girlfriends and I hosted a little halloween party to do just that. The kiddos all looked so cute in costume and had a blast just being their crazy adorable selves. And once again the mamas out did themselves by baking the cutest treats! I had no idea what I was going to have Braeden be. But literally the day before I had a random idea for him and his little girlfriend (Raelyn) to go as Pebbles and Bam Bam. So for less then $10 (fabric) and a couple minutes of cutting they both had a costume that was not only so cute, but also incredibly comfortable for a warm San Diego day!

Perfect party favor- A little pumpkin with each kids initial

Yummy treats!

Adorable costumes...

Mummy wrap! Give each dad a roll of toilet paper and 1 minute to wrap their little mummy :)

Love for Baby Q #2

Yesterday we had a beautiful little luncheon, with a whole lot of love for baby Q #2. My really good friend {aka my sister} wanted to do something special to celebrate myself as a soon to be mama of two and baby's upcoming arrival. I invited just my family and closest friends and the day was perfect. We talked, laughed lots, ate good food, opened cute baby gifts and questioned if my little peanut would be a boy or a girl :) I feel so blessed knowing that this sweet baby will be surrounded with so much love.

A Sparkly Bridal Shower

This is my third Bridal shower in just over a month and I must say that all three have had completely different look/feels and have all been fantastic! The shower I went to last night was all about sparkles... and let me tell you, the bride-to-be was definitely sparkled with lots of love from family and friends. My sister is one of the bridesmaids so luckily I got to help her with some decor {which I love}. My all time favorite is always the picture frame window. Such a classic addition to any party and functions as a beautiful display at the shower and then forever after for the guest of honor to keep. I also loved the party favors- Nail Polish- so practical!

Red, White and Babies!

Today was an absolute blast! My friend (Diane) and I hosted a fourth of July all american potluck and the day was a complete success. Great food, great company and what better 4th than with red, white and babies everywhere! Thanks to pinterest there were tons of awesome food displays brought by all the beautiful mamas. Here is a taste at our wonderful afternoon...

Sparkles & Cocktails {bridal shower invite}

I just finished making a beautiful bridal shower invite for my sister's good friend Britt. The bridesmaids decided to go with an evening cocktail shower (which I am a huge fan of). The Bride-to-Be loves sparkles and everything feminine which is why I chose this particular look. Thanks to the site Cozy Comfy Couch I was able to download a free glitter background image. Then in photoshop I added the text, and played with the opacity and colors to form the soft band behind the copy.... and what do you know--an invitation was created! We printed them on my favorite pearl linen paper to add a little shine and sophistication (not shown).

A Rustic bridal shower

Yesterday I celebrated and took part of a beautiful bridal shower for my good friend Aly Rybar (soon to be Jamison) and it was a blast! I feel that we (my friends and I) get a little more creative as each friend gets married, must be all the practice :) Inspired by pinterest and the Bride-to-be's personality we went with a rustic theme evening/cocktail shower (5-8:30 pm) and I absolutely loved everything about it! I must say that the bridesmaids definitely get props for how cute everything turned out. Here's a glimpse at our fun rustic (not so traditional) bridal shower evening...

Of course we had to let loose a bit at the end of the night :) Hay dancing anyone?

4th of July Party

So my good friend Diane and I just love doing family oriented get togethers where all the babies can play and enjoy themselves. We decided to throw a little 4th of July shindig. Of course we needed a pic for the invite, so what better image than one of our cuties together. It just so happened to be that time of day for both of them and we couldn't help but love the way the first pic turned out. "Come to our party or we'll cry!"
Yes, maybe a touch sad, but definitely funny!
