A practical Bridal Shower gift

With all the exciting bridal showers coming up this year amongst my friends, I decided I wanted to think of something creative to give as a gift. My friend Diane and I began brainstorming as we had a shower to attend on Saturday. We threw out many ideas thanks to pinterest of course, but our ultimate favorite was "The Bridal Shower Thank You Kit."{wish we could find the source} It's so fun to get all the wonderful gifts as a Bride, but thank you's are not always the easiest to get done... especially when you have 50+ to write. I don't know about you all, but I don't find it fun to go out and buy stamps nor thank you cards. And- although I am always super appreciative of gifts, I never seem to get my thank you's out in a timely manner. The idea we saw was to make clever customized wine bottle labels and give the Bride-to-Be wine so she could make the process a bit more enjoyable by sipping while writing. We decided to take it a step further, and also bought all the thank you cards, stamps, and of course some cute tin carriers for her to later use as home decor. In my book, this is a very practical {and cute} bridal shower gift! Oh and might I add that the labels and card we made turned out oh so perfect ;)

Keep Calm and ...

Today I started helping my sister design a bridal shower invitation for her good friend who loves all things that sparkle. I couldn't stop thinking of the saying "Keep Calm and Sparkle On" that I recently saw on pinterest. I began to do some google searching to get some ideas and thankfully stumbled across this super simple and fun site where you can create your own Keep Calm signs: keepcalm-o-matic.co.uk. So of course I got side tracked and began making my own fun sayings (I figured the invite could wait :) You should definitely make a couple too...

Father's day craft

Today two of my friends came over with their little boys (Carter & Brady) and we had a blast making father's day crafts. Of course we were inspired by pinterest, but then put our own twist on things. We all loved the "Best dad hands down" idea and thought it would be a great office keepsake for our baby's daddys. Since wood keeps better than paper, I ran to michaels and for $2/each picked up a couple wood slabs for our masterpieces :)

Our next pinterest idea was the photo collage, which we had a lot of laughs while making. I encourage you all to make this, as it is super simple, but the results are so dang cute! All you need is one chalkboard, chalk/chalk pen and your cutie pie!

Of course we could not forget the grandpas...

I just couldn't resist taking this pic, as the boys just posed so perfectly!

Loved it. Pinned it. Did it! {The perfect gift for your baby's daddy}

Each Christmas I love to give my husband something with a personal touch that a credit card can't just buy. With this holiday season being our very first with a precious baby, I knew that the perfect gift would be one with our little B in it. Inspired by Pinterest, I was able to create and frame the below pic, and it turned out PERFECT! The white letters are from Michaels and were only $3.99 each. Using two 40% off coupons (since Braeden came with) and only needing two letters, (since the "D" repeats itself) this gift cost me only $5.00, but to my baby's daddy it means so much more! I loved adding the extra text at the bottom too. I think every dad deserves a cute pic like this :)

Christmas Card fun starring "B"

So of course our Christmas cards had to feature our newest addition, Braeden Carter Quinn :) I had so much fun capturing shots of little B as he just played with the cute wooden letters. Any of you with a 7 month old know how much they just love putting anything in their mouth, so this shoot was a breeze! Of course we couldn't decide what card we liked better, so we sent out both and just alternated the two colors as we (I) stuffed envelopes...
